Sunday 1st November saw Superior Tennis Academy launch its first ever Orange Ball in club championship.
This will become an annual event on our calendar. We saw 22 kids that we train, shake off the nerves and compete for the first time in orange ball competition.
After shedding the nerves the tennis was amazing, with all the players and spectators totally amazed by the level of competition, the amazing sportsmanship and the level of support shown by not only the parents but fellow players.
Championship days like these show the players what its going to be like, when they venture into orange ball tournaments, through the future stars events, or JDS events, even leading into playing in Tennis Gold Coast fixtures competition.
It teaches them the correct behaviours on the courts, the mental side of competing and that everything we do in training is purposeful.
Massive thanks to Kate, Carmel and Beau for their work today in helping run, organise and score matches, and huge thanks to all of the parents for their unwavering support and assistance in making our day easier.
Our winners on the day in the girls orange ball was Charlotte and runners up being Brooke. Eva took away the sportsmanship award.
In the boys ,we had a massive morning with Ryan taking out Jack McEwan. Little Lincoln our silent assassin taking out the boys sportsmanship award.
Thanks again to all.
